A Time to Reflect

With Christmas just around the corner, it's time for reflection on what has been a very big year both in politics and for our area.
Our local community organisations have continued to work hard to make our community a great place to live and to work.
A highlight for me has been the launch of the Logan Together project which will guide and harness the power of our local groups to achieve better outcomes for Logan kids.
At a federal level, we've seen a change of Prime Minister from Tony Abbott to Malcolm Turnbull.
While the Government may have changed its salesman and its words, they've kept their bad policies that are hurting local people.
The Liberals have maintained their harsh cuts to schools, hospitals and pensions.
To make things worse, they have added new plans to cut family payments and make everything more expensive by increasing the GST.
With the Federal Election due in 2016, I will be asking for your support to continue representing you and your families in the seat of Rankin.
I want to continue to work to make our community and our country a better place, and only a vote for Labor will give a strong voice for Logan people in Parliament.
